These are the TOP 5 QUALITIES EVERY HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE PERSON POSSESSES!
Attributes of a Productive Person
Productive People are Self Aware
Productive people are highly self-aware and create a life that reflects that. Contrary to popular belief, self-awareness is not self-absorption.
Healthy self-awareness is when someone is aware and highly sensitive to their personality traits, character, abilities, feelings, motives, and impulses. This doesn't denote selfishness but instead helps them create boundaries and a lifestyle that matches who they are, setting them up for the most success.
For example, in trying to become more productive, I decided that I needed a strategy of calendar blocking. However, knowing my personality and impulses, I decided that google calendar wouldn't work for me. It is never my practice to go to the computer for my day-to-day tasks first. I decided on a paper copy instead and found this to be a great move toward becoming a more productive person.
As you become more aware of your personality, preferences, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, you can form your life around the things that make you most productive, thus, becoming more successful in every area!

Goal-Oriented
Highly productive people are ALWAYS goal-oriented in one way or the other! This quality is a non-negotiable.
Recently, I've gotten into the idea of using consistency and habits rather than just goals, and it is working much better for me and my productivity. Still, goals are the foundation, the starting point, the beginning of any habit.
Showing up day after day and being consistent with habit-forming becomes a small goal that helps me achieve bigger goals. Thus, making me a more productive person all around.
When you have a goal to reach, it propels your mind to think higher and will inevitably help take you further toward who you want to become. Productive people always form new goals, dream new dreams, and reach for more extraordinary heights than they've already accomplished.

Motivated
Productive people are often self-motivated. Most will either be self-motivated or have systems and relationships in place that encourage productivity and success.
Being motivated is essential when achieving goals, meeting deadlines, and moving forward in life. Many who feel stuck or in a rut are just lacking motivation.
Anxiety and other mental health issues will first take your motivation before it attempts to plunge you into the depths of depression. We must be aware of this fact and be careful to do things that increase our motivation and zeal for life.
You will not always feel motivated. However, consistency and habits can make up for lacking motivation, but you must pursue things that encourage motivation.
Here are a few things that can help with that:
- Motivational Speeches
- Podcasts that interview successful people and discuss constructive ideas!
- Following people on social media that are living out your idea of success.
- Reading self-help books that encourage you in the areas you need the most up-lifting.
- Cutting out things that drain your energy, such as scrolling endlessly on social media or binge-watching TV and YouTube.
Here are some great resources that I find helpful for motivation in becoming a productive person:
A Productive Person is Organized
One of the areas I gain the most energy from to become a more productive person is organization. If I declutter specific spaces in my home, it gives me the power to accomplish much more! Author Dana K. White calls this phenomenon "decluttering momentum."
Not only have I found that being organized creates a space for more productivity, but I have also discovered that it's an incredible tool to combat daily anxiousness, panic, fear, and being overwhelmed! Anytime I find myself in a funk, lacking motivation, feeling super unproductive, and procrastinating like crazy, I will write a list of spaces that I need to organize. It's incredible to experience the benefits of order.

Time Conscious
I struggled for years with keeping a good grasp of time, and have some ultra embarrassing stories of my chronic tardiness. For now, I'll spare you (and myself) the humiliating details, but know; it was a massive problem in my life.
The result of my lateness was lack of productivity. I found that the more I got around people that were super productive and successful at accomplishing their goals, the more I realized that my glaring problem was time management and consciousness.
As I began to enter a journey of self-awareness, I had to seriously look at my problem with time and start to change because productive people are time conscious. Here are some of the things I did to become more aware of time and, as a result, became more productive.
- Calendar or Time Blocking
- Scheduling and to-do lists
- Creating a daily plan
- Using my alarm and stopwatch for tasks
- Journaling my habits and goals and tracking them
